The awakening process isn’t always easy. It is important to start from a positive place, with strong mental health, and from a strong ground or holding space.
Quite a few people have come to me for help because they appeared to be ‘going down the rabbit hole’. i.e. they were experiencing negative feelings, nihilism or a sense of meaninglessness. It is important in the process to self-compassion, and spending time in nature looking for the beauty in things can be helpful.
That said is also important to point out that awakening doesn’t guarantee a happy or conventionally perfect life, it just results in contentment with what is.
